Privacy Policy

AtPace ("we", "us") is an AI sports-coaching application. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the AtPace mobile application and this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

3. AI processing

Program generation and the coach chat are powered by a large-language-model provider (Anthropic). The training context needed for these features (your profile metrics, goals, equipment, recent performance, declared injuries, and the messages you write to the coach) is processed for the sole purpose of producing your programs and coach replies. We do not send your name, email or any account identifier to the AI provider, and this data is not used to train their models under our API agreement.

4. Where your data lives

  • Our servers are hosted by OVH in the European Union (France).
  • Error reports are collected on our own self-hosted error tracker — they never leave our infrastructure.
  • Workout data is also stored locally on your device so the app works offline; it syncs to our servers when you are online.
  • Subscription validation transits through RevenueCat (acting as a processor) and Apple/Google.

5. What we never do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not show ads and do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • We do not share your health-related declarations with anyone — they only shape your own programs.

6. Legal bases

We process your data on the basis of: the contract between us (operating the service you signed up for), your consent (optional data such as injuries, profile photo, push notifications — each can be withdrawn at any time), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service reliable and secure (crash reports).

7. Retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all personal data is deleted immediately and permanently (see below). Server logs are rotated within 30 days.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time directly in the app: Profile → Delete my account. This permanently removes your account, profile, training history, statistics, messages and friendships. Programs you published that other users saved remain available to them in anonymized form (your authorship is removed). An active subscription must be cancelled separately in your App Store or Google Play settings.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Most of these are available directly in the app (profile editing, account deletion). For anything else, write to support@atpace.app — we answer within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).

10. Children

AtPace is not directed at children under 15. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes are announced in the app. The current version always lives at this address.
